I agree with Josh; this would be like Elmer Fudd falling for Bugs Bunny in a cheesy disguise. Of course, I don't know how personally selfish or title-hungry the Senator is. Yeah, Gregg may take the job in order to make a difference, but considering that we're talking about a Republican who backed Mitt Romney, I'm not betting on it.

You know, I'm beginning to think that Obama may be really good at this political gamesmanship thing. I seriously doubt he really wants Gregg for Commerce, but Gregg may be good enough that if he accepts, Obama can work with him, and wins another senate seat. If he says "no", then Obama can say, "but I offered and you Republicans turn me down. What's a President to do?"
