How can people "not forgive" Sen. Ted Kennedy for (as JP observed) murder, yet completely overlook the countless number of people who dies under President Bush?

Can someone do a number comparison: the lives lost due to Kennedy's policies versus those lost under Bush's policies? Foreign, domestic, and both? I'm curious.
