 Last five minutes of this video is on point: It's the cycle that gets the occasional tune-up of "outsiders" who are really insiders. Republicans run the "I'm different from the rest" type who's "a maverick" while the Democrats run a leftist-sounding pragmatist. This is done to shepherd the strays back into the two major parties. If you really want to make a difference in electoral politics, don't vote for Democrats or Republicans...they've wasted enough of our time, money and energy.
