Seems like everyone to the East has solved or perfected long-distance traveling : Interested in capping off your trip to Hong Kong with a long weekend in Beijing or Shanghai? A new high-speed sleeper train service is making that possibility easier than ever. Two new overnight routes connecting the city with Beijing and Shanghai entered into service on June 15. Both trains depart Hong Kong West Kowloon Station in the evening and arrive in Beijing at 6.53 a.m. and Shanghai at 6.45 a.m., making the journeys around 12.5 hours and 11 hours respectively. The shutdown of the entire Orange Line will start at 9 p.m. Friday, August 19 for upgrades and repairs. It will last until September 19. The move will not only affect subway riders, it's also expected to have a huge impact on the Boston area f...

Despite the sad events that occurred earlier today at the NYC substation , New York and America will need to brace for the inverse of what happens when there's a school shooting. In that (sadly reoccurring) instance the pundits and politicians would say something to the effect of, " Please don't make this political by talking about gun control or gun regulations; now's not the time ." Don't be surprised that in this instance, instead of keeping mum some of the same pundits and politicians start talking about funding police more...despite their actual productivity / output . UPDATE: As if on cue, the NYC mayor calls for more cops .
