Don't Get It Twisted
While everyone debates what "power" the President of the United States has, let's not forget that important document called the Constitution.
First of all, the "Commander In Chief" thing applies to the military only. Not civilians.
Seccond, he/she must take an oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
