Try Hatching Another One, Orrin
"Sen. Orrin Hatch, who continuously decries the bitter partisanship in Washington, implied this week that Democratic success in November's election could result in terrorist attacks on America."
What did he say back in 2004? "[Terrorists ] are going to throw everything they can between now and the election to try and elect Kerry."
And now? [Middle East terrorists are] "waiting for the Democrats here to take control, let things cool off and then strike again."
"Strike Again?" Give me a break. I could debunk this stupid premise with 50 examples or two points. I'll use the two points.
Point Number One: 9/11 happened on President Bush's watch. Bush is a Republican.
Points Number Two: July wins the dubious prize of being the most violent month in Iraq. So if you are one who believes that terrorists are now in Iraq, they are "striking" us and have been all last month.
Now Hatch believes it could get worse if Democrats are in charge? Whatever.
Until Hatch and others who spew this nonsensical garbage provide some true evidence that having Democrats in charge of government actually lead to more terrorist attacks than having Republicans in charge (don't forget to include the George W. Bush Administration in the comparison) they should just shut the hell up. They are not going to win any new votes with this tactic.
