The Australian journalist who exposed war crimes and was barely acknowledged by mainstream media until he was actually freed (do to no small part of the activists and independent journalists who refused to let his trial go unnoticed) on one hand; on the other a WSJ journalist who happens to be on trial in Russia. Makes you wonder.
