What Happened In Iran With That American Pilot?

Image
For the "official mainstream account" I'll refer you to the Guardian's timeline as well as Wikipedia's article .  Here are my questions: Why was the F-15 in that part of Iran in the first place? The C-130 Hercules is designed for "troop, medivac and cargo transport." Why were two of them needed to rescue 1-2 pilots? How did the pilot make it up the mountain with a sprained leg without being seen/caught? Anyway, Danny Haiphong and Dialogue Works had separate interviews that add some more "meat" to the story: My take (based on everything above): The US had a planned land operation for Easter Sunday. Iran thwarted the operation before it could get going. The US uses "rescue the pilot" as a cover. Patriots' Day is April 20th. Then there's the 4th of July. We know that White House likes to plan military operations around holidays or other historical/religious events to make them resonate more.

Real Estate Attorneys Should Not Be Used As International Negotiators.

Remember how close the United States and Iran were to a deal ? Well according to President Trump's favorite lawyer ( for now ) Steve Witkoff , Iran spent the negotiations bragging: Witkoff: Iranians bragged of uranium for 11 bombs US special envoy Witkoff, who together with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner led Washington’s negotiations with Tehran over the disputed nuclear program, said that Iran’s top negotiators boasted in the first round of talks this year of having enough highly enriched uranium to build 11 nuclear bombs. “In that first meeting, both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly — with no shame — that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60% [enriched uranium] and that they’re aware that could make 11 nuclear bombs,” Witkoff told Fox. Trump has asserted that the US “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear facilities during the 12-day war last June, which would ostensibly render Iran incapable of immediately turning that enriched uranium into a bomb. Still, Witkoff said the Iran...

One Possible Explanation Why It's Been So Hard To Propagandize The Public On Gaza

Image
Despite the recent UN vote on Gaza , the people's opinion of Israel is not expected to rise anytime soon and the push to consolidate conservatives has been less-than beneficial .  As a result, Zionists are, as Caitlin Johnstone puts it, are "freaking out:" Why hasn't the propaganda worked? There's a three-word response that explain: "Muslims aren't Nazis." Historically, Jewish people have garnered much-deserved sympathy for what happened during the rise of Nazi Germany. The concentration camps, the torture, the deaths...if any group had a reason to demonize Nazis, it was Jewish people (and it would be foolish to infer that other groups and/or nations didn't suffer from either being occupied or at war with Nazi Germany so let's keep this in mind as well). The thing is, Muslims did not preform a Holocaust on the Jewish People in Europe. Palestinians did not round up Israelis and put them into concentration camps. Neither did Iranians, the Le...

Now That Democrats Will Leave The White House (And Republicans Are Coming In), It's OK to Say that There's a Genocide in Palestine.

Image
What a difference an election makes; the party the America media liked is leaving and the party (or more honestly, the person leading said party) is coming back into power, so things once ignored are now highlighted. Like calling the genocide in Gaza "genocide." Interestingly enough, Scheerpost covered not one , but two of these instances: an opinion piece for the Guardian and a story about the Saudi Crown Prince in the Middle East Monitor : Even pro-Israeli news outlet Haaretz is coming around a bit . At this pace, Mainstream media could be outright adversarial in a year, two tops. Then again: AIPAC.

AOC Takes a Different Approach W/Actors and UPS Strikes vs Railroad Workers

As stated before , AOC (and the Squad) attempt to "fight on behalf of railroad workers was unimpressive. Fast forward about a year, and not AOC is all in for strikes, showing up at both UPS rallies and picketing with actors ! And here's a quote involving the later that piqued my curiosity: “Direct action gets the goods, now and always,” she said. “The only way that we can do this is by showing them that we are stronger. That our solidarity is stronger than their greed, that our care for one another will overcome their endless desire for more.” This can't be stressed enough: this was not her approach for the railroad workers . Back then, it was essentially, "government will decide what's best." I say this because instead of being out there talking with the workers who would be directly impact by a crappy union deal or calling for them to strike, she was apparently listening to (or blaming, depending on how you look at it) the union leaders and wasting time o...

In America, Helping People Who Protest the Actions of the State/Federal Government Is A Crime.

Image
It's illegal to give food and water to people waiting in line to vote, so why not arrest people who are providing bail and legal help for Cop City protestors ?  Attorneys representing an activist arrested while protesting against the building of “Cop City” in Georgia have launched a legal challenge to the use of a state domestic terrorism statute against protests, claiming an “act of free speech” is being unconstitutionally targeted, the Guardian can reveal. The move comes amid the unprecedented arrests of organizers at a bail and legal defense fund that has helped some of the people arrested while protesting against the multimillion-dollar police and fire department training center planned for a forest south-east of Atlanta. Cop City came to global attention after police shot dead an environmental protester in a raid on the forest and its defenders on 18 January – the first incident of its kind in US history. Police staged a Swat-style raid on Wednesday on the Atlanta Solida...

Steven Donziger on the East Palestine Chemical Disaster.

Image
The human rights and environmental lawyer who Chevron tried to put under a jail shows us why big polluting companies want him off the board : Earlier this month, a train carrying toxic chemicals derailed in eastern Ohio, exploding into flames and unleashing a spume of chemical smoke on the small town of East Palestine. The train’s freight included vinyl chloride, a chemical known to cause liver cancer and other sicknesses. In response, government and railway officials decided to “burn off” the vinyl chloride – effectively dumping 1.1m lbs of the chemical into the local community, according to a new lawsuit. Officials said that they did so to avert the vinyl chloride from exploding; in contrast, an attorney for the lawsuit has said that the decision was cheap, unsafe, and more interested in restoring train service and appeasing railway shareholders than protecting local residents. East Palestine residents are reporting headaches, sore throats, and burning eyes; dead pets and chicke...

COVID-19 Chaos in America

Image
The only thing that has been clear since it was reported that President Trump tested positive for COVID-19 is that nothing is clear.  The list of infected keeps growing . Whether due to boredom or some family-related psychological quirk , Trump wants to leave Walter Reed Hospital . And this is after Trump did a public-relations-motivated drive around the hospital, throwing doctors and secret service members alike for a tizzy.  "Not enough crazy!" you say? How about the fact that the Trump family went maskless during last Tuesday's presidential debate? Or that while this is going on, Gov. Cuomo won't close business in nine New York COVID hotspots ?  Considering that neither of the two major parties have taken COVID seriously (more focused on Wall Street and Supreme Court nominations; the tepid stimulus check with no follow-up, having no national response, leaving the trouble-shooting up to the states without giving them adequate funding to implement any of their...
