DSA's Debate Over Endorsing AOC Highlights How It's Not The Socialist Bastion Mainstream Politics Wants Us To Think

 So Briahna Joy Gray has James Ray from the DSA on Bad Faith to talk about the various factions/shades of the DSA and how they are musing over issues like, "Should the DSA endorse AOC for President or VP?"

The fact that the DSA -the group who's platform birthed the Force the Vote Movement- includes "moderates" ranging from the Kyle Kulinski/TYT "infiltrate the Democratic Party and change them from the inside" to those who are explicitly attacking people like Gray for the "audacity" of suggesting that the DSA use whatever political leverage they have to push their agenda, is very revealing and shocking. At least to the extant that Americans have been led to believe that the DSA is the closest thing America has to an organized socialist group. But truth be told, they have as many members who want to play the role of "capitalism managers" as the regular Democratic Party. 

I understand that people like Professor Richard Wolff may believe that the next generation is embracing socialism more than their predecessors. That may be true, but it may also be true that the driving force is not wanting to change from a capitalist system as much as the frustration that the Boomers aren't relinquishing institutional and political power at the expected pace.
