  There's a reason that the Navy and Air Force have been preferred military options; it rhymes with "people think that 'boots on the ground' is a bad idea." Sadly, the number of proponents for that idea is growing smaller.  

 

 

  Key Points/Highlights: The Iranian vessel was not part of the conflict; it was returning to Iran from a training exercise being conducted in India (before the US and Israel attacked Iran). India is in a energy boondoggle much like Europe: In India's case, they put all of their "chips" in oil resources from West Asian vassal states that (because they house US military bases) are being bombed by Iran and prohibited from sending anything through the Strait of Hormuz .   China is sending materials (and parts) to Iran so they can continue to make weapons...and they are using routes that the United States cannot disrupt easily. As Brian Berletic put it : "It remains to be seen how effective Iran's strategy is - b ut sinking Iranian warships at dock or in non-combat transit is symbolic, not symptomatic ."

 

 

  It's a story that needs to be told until it's as known as the Boston Tea Party.

 As in, "putting Americans in such dire financial conditions that joining the military is the most viable option" is starting to loose it's luster , and it's not just the Army .

Just sad : A U.S. Navy sailor allegedly shot and killed two female sailors early Monday in the barracks of a American military base in Bahrain, a Navy official said. The alleged shooter, a male, was critically wounded in the shooting at the U.S. Naval Support Activity Bahrain base, the Navy official, who was not authorized to release the information to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press. No word yet on what the shooter's motive was; hopefully there will be updates soon...
