A collection of 3,000 comics ended up being worth $500.00 . Digital comics and the advent of comic-book movies are more than likely the main culprits. Not to mention that nowadays, more copies are printed so more people have access to #1's or classic stories/crossovers.

Transformer Toy For A Character (Almost) No One Wanted
This fella is known as " the Beast ." Apparently there was a little-known story in which, in a moment of desperation (and dwindling numbers), The Dinobots combined into a previously-unknown combiner to save their Autobot comrades. Unfortunately, Beast has no personality and it's only function was to kill anything that seemed alive. After wiping out every Decepticon in the battle, Beast turned his attention to the Autobots. Considered by some to be one of the truly terrible ( non-cartoon ) Transformer stories. I bring this up because the revelation of this toy just seems...off to me.
