Obama Tells Economically-Deficient Voters That "Freedoms" Is the Big Issue of the 2022 Midterms
Movement slayer Barack Obama shows that he really was a moderate Republican posing as a progressive Democrat in his latest attempt to save his decaying party:
What the former president didn't say there is that his party has refused to fight for anything of substance up to this point. In stark contrast to Republicans, who fight to vote on issues despite knowing they may loose because it's an incentive to GOTV, Democrats have given voters next-to-nothing to support.Obama implored the crowd at his first stop in Michigan: “Who will fight for your freedom? Is it a bunch of Republican politicians and judges who think they should get to decide when you start a family or how many children you have, who you marry or who you love?” He then added, “Or is it leaders like (Michigan Democratic Gov.) Gretchen Whitmer who believe that the freedom to make these personal decisions belong to every American, not politicians in Washington?”
And even when Obama acknowledges the economics, it's very targeted:
“Some of you here are on Social Security. Some of your parents are on Social Security. Some of your grandparents are on Social Security. You know why they have Social Security?” Obama said. “Because they worked for it. They worked hard jobs for it. They have chapped hands for it. They had long hours and sore backs and bad knees to get that Social Security.”
“And if [GOP Wisconsin Senate candidate] Ron Johnson does not understand that – if he understands giving tax breaks for private planes more than he understands making sure that seniors who’ve worked all their lives are able to retire with dignity and respect – he’s not the person who’s thinking about you and knows you and sees you, and he should not be your senator from Wisconsin,” the former President said.
Again, Obama omits the dirty little secret that he had plans to cut Social Security to make it look like only Republicans are fiscal villains.
If America can lose all of it's "freedoms" because of a mid-term election, it wasn't really free to begin with.
