Ms. Huffington was on Bill Press this morning and they were swapping John McCain stories while talking about their respective books. She revealed that McCain told her that he did not vote for George W. Bush in 2000. Assuming that Huffington's memory is accurate, this means one of three things: John McCain lied to her. If this is the case, I don't see why any reasonable person would vote for/support such a dishonest person. John McCain had one of his memory laspes. If this is true, I'd be worried if I was a part of his campaign because I'd be thinking, " What else has this guys said to people ?" John McCain was of sound mind and body, andwas being honest. If this is the line, it makes his conversation from "maverick" to "sellout" all the more interesting.
