Whenever there are relatively normal-looking people advocating more radical GOP candidates/policies, odds are they are really part of the GOP themselves and are not "independent."

Mr. And Mrs. Fox News Viewer must be scratching their heads right now. Romney sold his plan as a simplification of the tax code, so that average taxpayers could grasp it's context, and it's effect on their lives. Now it's too complicated for a short explanation? WTF? Ryan planned on sleepwalking through another interview, and got a rude awakening. -- Dan Lee Uhl , on this Think Progress post .

Apparently they're under investigation for tax evasion . Expect this to run the news cycle for a good chunk of next week (at least until Romney says/does something dumb or something interesting/crazy happens at the Democratic Convention).

I could say that Mitt Romney's decision to pick Paul Ryan won't take care of the GOP presidential nominee's most glaring problem . I could point to the many, many things that about Paul Ryan that would turn off moderate and independent voters, most notably his admiration for Ayn Rand ( who had questionable judgement of "heroes" herself ).  Of course, there's always the budget Ryan is pushing, which is - as some on the left have noted - does not seem to produce the advertised result...unless the result is " no more Medicare ." I could give my version on all that, but as you can see, sharper minds than me have done so. So why re-invent those wheels when I can touch on other aspects, like: Romney Didn't Use The VP Pick For Traditional Reasons : Usually, the VP pick is supposed to cover some deficiency (real or imagined) that the presidential candidate has. In Romney's sense, it practically screamed for someone with a personality that could...

Blame President Obama for the bad job market, and when their constituents ask them for relief/help with things like minimum wage, tell them they need to get a job .

...a whole bunch of people don't have to worry about getting going broke because they (or a loved one) got sick of injured. Naturally, some opponents aren't taking this decision well ; and some are just going off the deep end . Ironically, they'll all be able to get adequate help for their mental anguish. BONUS : We'll have to wait until the debate for Obama to call Romney on his ACA lies, because the press certainly isn't doing it . Some conservatives are claiming that a condition Justice Roberts has made him soft and sympathetic to people looking for better care. And repeal's not likely to happen . And let's not forget the ACA was based on a 1990's law created by the Congressional GOP/Heritage Foundation and actually implemented by then-Governor Mitt Romney .

The GOP from the Lone Star State apparently don't think the Voting Rights Act is needed anymore .

The majority GOP voters still believe that Iraq had WMDs, and that President Obama is not a natural-born citizen. In other words: they are only going to believe what Fox News and Rush Limbaugh tell them.

It was a great political scam: denounce the GOP in the wake of the end of the Bush presidency, claim to be a new group called the Tea Party and then run for office (all in GOP primaries, mind you) to "take back" the party . But now, all pretense is gone: the banking industry (aka, the group that got the bailout that supposedly made those Tea Party people so angry) has all but bought the Tea Party candidates who were elected to the House of Representatives .

Of course, when your "Get Rid Of Unions" Plan ends up losing jobs instead of creating them, what else are are you supposed to do ?

George W. Bush is putting out a book on economic growth ? Unless it includes the sentence "Elect a Democrat President to clean up my mess" I don't see how any doesn't assume he's doing this for comedic purposes.
