I wonder how the numbers would look with Universal Health care; I believe the reason more people are praying to God is because they've exhausted all other worldly options, not because God was their first choice (or because of their faith).

Ha! Love it! Many of the same people who believe that Jay-suus will save them probably are the same people who cannot afford health care.

Sad but true: people mistake desperation for religious faith. Other then Christian Scientists (who essentially believe God will heal all physical wounds) I don't believe that the average person of faith would seriously consider prayer as an alternative to a doctor. Pray that the doctor isn't drunk during the operation? Yes.
