re no.3: Deposit Insurance? Is he kidding? Yeah, I can certainly see his point about Alan Greenspan, but the culpability of Reagan is not so much in what laws passed in his time as in what the attitude of his reign was, e.i., What's-good-for-Business-is good-for-America. It was Reagan who made fast the idea that Government Is Bad (and so therefore governmental things like regulation) allowing both unwise financial practices to run unchecked, and for the conglomeration of business into organizations Too Big To Fail, even though they most certainly did.

What an idiot (or perhaps he thinks we're the stupid ones).
