Mitch McConnell: The Opinion of Foreign Countries and Wall Street Is Just as Important As Important As The American People

Here was his response on dealing with the debt ceiling:

“In order to get my vote for raising the debt ceiling, we would need to do something significant about the deficit and let me define what I would view as significant: something that the markets would view as significant, something the American people would view as significant, something foreign countries would view as significant. Obviously that means no window dressing, no blue smoke and mirrors – something real, something measurable, that clearly will begin to reduce our debt.”

Funny how when the issue are about laws the GOP could care less about what "foreign countries" think. Also funny that now the banks (aka Wall Street) have been bailed out -over the objection of the American People- he suddenly wants to hear what they have to say.

When did Foreign Countries = Wall Street = American People?

(Of course, we all know GOP support for raising the ceiling ended with the election of President Obama)
