Why Is Russia/Putin Being Blamed For Jeffrey Epstein?

 Seriously...even if this were true, where's the evidence that Russia benefitted at all from this? If you're keeping track of the world leaders involved in the latest leaks (or even the ones before), how many of those countries have been falling over themselves trying to defend or protect Russia? What kind of elaborate blackmail operation gains you essentially no political benefits whatsoever?
