Much like African Stream, Richard Medhurst and others who cover geopolitics in a manner that is not mainstream-approved, Rachel Blevins faced the wrath off online censorship. But while African Stream has completely lost their YT channel and Medhurst is trying to keep the British authorities from arresting him (again), Blevins' channel was reinstated. However, is was not without a cost: much like Danny Haiphong, Blevins has stated that she'll be more vigilant in her videos. In other words, she's going to watch what she says and how she says it. This says a lot about the state of censorship in the US considering that Blevins, who is far from a firebrand tonally, was accused of promoting "hate speech."

From CNN : Many millennials are currently grasping in frustration at long-held American Dreams like homeownership, a steady job and an affordable cost of living. However, over the next twenty years, Millennials are poised to inherit some $90 trillion of assets and become the richest generation in history – but only the ones who already come from affluent families, potentially deepening wealth inequality further . Between now and 2044 in the US, the Silent Generation and Baby Boomers are expected to hand over the reins of their significant wealth to Millennials, according to The Wealth Report, a periodic report from global property consultant Knight Frank. But whether you’re a Millennial on the receiving end of that wealth transfer is largely a lottery of birth. Ultimately, this wealth shift is a result of inheritance from prior generations, largely involving property but also other assets . It will bring “seismic” changes to how wealth is put to use, said Liam Bailey, global head of re...

Apparently, the answer is "yes": Nissan has tapped into the popularity of lofi videos on YouTube by creating a four-hour-long ad — and people aren’t hating it. Released on February 2, the video is titled Enjoy the Powerfully Peaceful ARIYA. It’s a low-touch advertisement for the company’s latest EV, the Nissan ARIYA. At the time of writing the video had over 1.6 million views and 625 comments which were largely positive. This may seem surprising for an advertisement that’s four hours long . But this is where Nissan has been quite clever. The entire video is an animation of a woman driving the ARIYA to a soundtrack of lofi music . These kinds of videos are incredibly popular on YouTube — they’re incredibly chill and great for background calm background music for work and study. One of the most popular is the Lofi Girl channel which streams lofi hip hop beats 24 hours a day across two ‘radio’ channels. With almost 12 million subscribers, it’s most recognisable for its anime-s...

To say that Kyle Kulinski likes talking about political stories is an understatement. As his YouTube pays states, his channel is "Home of news & politics commentary from the populist left perspective" (NOTE: it used to be from a "libertarian left perspective"). I've referred to him as a political gossip expert. Not in the intrusive TMZ-type way, but if you ever wanted to know who said what about anything even remotely political, Kulinski was the one to follow and watch. Also, whether the topic/subject/person is popular or obscure makes little difference. So imagine my surprise to find out that Kulinski seemed to completely ignore a political story that one would think is right in his wheelhouse: That up there was a video on Bad Faith where Briahna Joy Gray and Kshama Sawant talk to Ryan Grim about the Squad's role in Congress forcing the railroad workers to accept a bad contract (that while included a bump in pay did not include any sick leave whatsoe...
