The Unsung of the 2008 Democratic National Convention

While I agree that people like Michele Obama, Ted Kennedy, and Hillary Clinton gave great speeches, I think the "Unsungs" (aka, people who didn't make it to prime time of mainstream media reviews) like (from Day One) Republican Rep. Jim Leach and (from Day Two) Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich deserve some praise as well.

Both have their qualms with the Bush Administration and the current state of the Republican Party, but deliver it in different ways. Undecided voters (they still exist?) and disenfranchised Republicans should take note of both.

The one thing I'll say that *shudder* "needs to be done" is for speakers to effectively switch between articulating the policy differences they have with the GOP and invoking the emotion and passion party members need during this rough campaign season. Once you hear the pundits alternate between saying Speaker X "didn't give alot of detail" and saying that speaker Y "didn't seem to have their heart in it" you know the Democrats are doing something right.
