If President Obama is really loosing on every issue foreign and domestic, than why is the GOP already speculating about who to run for 2012?

Ha ha! I love the invocation of "another Eisnehower". Do they really want to elect a candidate who will lament the power of the Military/Industrial Complex? What kind of massive public works program will this "Eisenhower" work for? High speed rail, or maybe just fixing the current interstate system? Eisenhower himself sure as hell wouldnt have been promoting an interstate (privately run) toll system, which is what Republicans shill for these days.

I'd be a little worried about Petraeus, because, like Collin Powell, he carries a reputation for honorable behavior with him. On the other hand, I dont suppose, like Powell, it'll take much exposure to the Party apparatus before the GOP taint would spoil him, too.
