Sadly for Mr. Amos Schocken, calling for sanctions, advocating for a Palestinian state (or even being perceived as doing so) and using words like "apartheid" when referring to Israel is a big "no-no."

Within hours, Israeli minsters announce that they will sever ties with Haaretz, and even a boycott is being discussed. Schocken must have gotten the message because Haaretz came back with revised statements like "Hamas are not freedom fighters."
