The American Media in a Nutshell

The press appears ready to make up for letting Bush get away with 95 months of criminality by holding Obama accountable for any crime committed within a 400 mile radius.

That's all you need to know about how the next four years will go. Seriously. Right there. Repeat it twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening.

amen.

stealin' it.
I'm huge O fan, but are you kidding? The media loves the man.

Check out this NYT headline as the Blago scandal was breaking:

"Obama’s Effort on Ethics Bill Had Role in Governor’s Fall"

They drove across 8 lanes of traffic to come up with that storyline.

And actually, when you read the article, it's not what's going on at all.

Stop with the paranoid lefty fantasies of a mainstream media conspiracy against the guy. They love him, and they've loved him since Iowa.

Nothing wrong with that for now. It's how he won. And I'm glad he did.

So why is FoxNews trying to tie him with Blagojevich?

I wouldn't say there's a conspiracy; more a pendulum. The media was relatively soft on Bush, and to compensate for the resulting compalints, they're going to be more hard on Obama. To them, it's more "well, last time we were easy on the president, this time we won't be." Other than FoxNews, I think the person and the party is that irrelevant to them.
The answer to your question, "So why is FoxNews trying to tie him with Blagojevich?" is in your question.

FoxNews.

Fox is famously conservative.

And honestly, the jury's out until we see what Emanuel said.

The example I gave was from the NYT, which certainly leans Left, but is also more reflective of "objective" media than Fox. And I'd say they've taken O at his word on the Blago story.

Again, as I pointed out, their article was unnecessarily Pro O.

Meanwhile, the lesson to learn from the media's treatment of Bush is not to get upset about a double standard—if indeed, they end up being hard on O. The lesson to learn is: The media should hold the President's feet to fire, O or Bush.
