About That Wizards/Blazers Game....
Let's go over the checklist, shall we?
- Three players scoring 20 points or more? Jamison had 22; the next person closest to 20 was Butler with 16. Blatche and Young both scored 11. So nope.
- Low turnovers? They matched Portland with 12, so this is a wash.
- No easy baskets? Going by the play of Roy, Blake and Fernandez, I'd say quite the opposite.
- High percentage shots taken? 50.7% from the field, 33.3% from the Three. Not far off from their averages. But if there was any example of a good shot versus a bad one, it was the last two shots Songaila took at the end of the game: a set shot and a running, off-balance jumper. Despite that, they did what they needed to do here.
