Beacuse Candy Only Works on Little Kids...

Hmmm(H/T to Michael Moore)...

In the battle to win the hearts and minds of potential teenage recruits, the Missouri National Guard has hit upon a winning formula: video games and pizza.

Once a month gamers, pizza lovers and those simply interested in joining the Guard are invited to play Xbox 360 games National Guard-style at several Guard outposts in Jefferson County.

It's not your typical video game experience: Gamers fire away on massive big screen televisions while perched on the back of a camouflaged Humvee."We've been doing it for three or four months and we've had a good turnout," Tim Davidson, Guard spokesman, said. "It's a good way for kids to hang out with each other and stay out of trouble."

Of course, if the conflict in Iraq was just and not a quest for oil and political gamesmanship, I'd imagine more people would be signing up without having the "Hansel and Gretel" treatment. Then again, if the conflict was just we'd have left by now.
