He Should Have Stayed In The Military, Then
What does former President G.W. Bush miss most about being the Chief Executive?
So let me get this straight: in a job where you get to travel the world, make judges politically immortal and learn the greatest secrets this country has ever kept, the things Bush misses the most are:
BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Flying on Air Force One, eating meals prepared by the White House kitchen staff and drawing inspiration from his encounters with U.S. military personnel were among things former President George W. Bush missed since leaving office, he said Thursday.
The often-tearful meetings he had with relatives of fallen soldiers were "in some ways... very hard and in some ways, it was very uplifting," the Texas Republican said in a speech to The Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan at Lake Michigan College.
So let me get this straight: in a job where you get to travel the world, make judges politically immortal and learn the greatest secrets this country has ever kept, the things Bush misses the most are:
- Flying on an airplane;
- Eating food; and
- Hanging around military personell.
Hell, he could have done that by staying in the military! Even after becoming a CO, he would be able to get plane rides, have whatever dish he wanted, and smooze with people in uniform.
It's like Harry Potter saying the thing he misses most about Hogwarts is the uniforms.
