1. Like other things, no doubt it was "off the table" for discussion or acknowledgement.
Big surprise that Pelosi, et al, didnt want to take the easy victory of impeachment (and it would've been easy, as more and more information came to light), since I think we knew all along that she was involved also.

Now that you mention it: if she had led to get Bush impeached, and then this came out, sure she would be shunned a little, but most critics would have let it slide because Bush was still impeached.
