Republicans Eating Their Own

The "more-wrong-than-right" Bill Kristol:

He [John McCain] has nothing to lose. His campaign is totally overmatched by Obama’s. The Obama team is well organized, flush with resources, and the candidate and the campaign are in sync. The McCain campaign, once merely problematic, is now close to being out-and-out dysfunctional. Its combination of strategic incoherence and operational incompetence has become toxic. If the race continues over the next three weeks to be a conventional one, McCain is doomed.

The title of this article? "Fire the Campaign."

Naturally, this idea didn't go over well with the people who run McCain's campaign. In fact, they were greatly offended to the point of suffering from Temporary Honesty:

Well, you know Bill is entitled to his perspective. And I used to work for Bill. And I can tell you personally sometimes he’s brilliant and sometimes he’s not. And this is one where it’s the latter category. You know, I think unfortunately he has bought into the Obama campaign’s party line.

Remember when Republicans would get their talking points from their conservative columnists and radio personalities? Those days no longer exist. When the McCain Campaign start accusing Bill friggin' Kristol of agreeing with anything Obama, you know there's real trouble in paradise.

Of course, it isn't the first time McCain (or his people) attacked someone as being supporter of Team Obama.
