What the Hell?!?
Read this fucking headline:
Paternity test for boy, 13, who says he's a dad
Now, read it again.
Without even reading the story, we have:
Paternity test for boy, 13, who says he's a dad
Now, read it again.
Without even reading the story, we have:
- A 13-yr-old who had a paternity test.
- A 13-yr-old who is apparently sexually active.
- A 13-yr-old who apparently got someone pregnant.
- A 13-yr-old who admits he's the father.
Now, read some of this.
(Now, I've heard of stories about how genetically-altered food is making our children develop faster, but this is fucking ridiculous. And before anyone freaks out: my objection to this has nothing to do with objection to sex before marriage; it's about sex between two people who aren't emotionally prepared for the consequences of having sex. In America, we call these people "under 18 years old." Granted, American teens are having sex at an age younger than that, but God protect the pre-teen who knocks up his girlfriend in Ohio; the press would have a field day.)LONDON - A DNA test will be performed to determine if a 13-year-old boy fathered a baby with his 15-year-old girlfriend, his spokesman said Monday.
The test comes after a Sunday tabloid newspaper reported that two other teenage boys have come forward claiming to be the father of the newborn baby girl. Spokesman Max Clifford said the parents of Alfie Patten, 13, said the tests would be done "as soon as possible" to determine paternity.
Assuming that this isn't a hoax, let me just say: this story is a perfect example of why sex education is so important.

Now things are different. If what you say is true about a child's emotional intelligence, then we've really retarded that aspect of their mind. I still think sex in of itself is something one must take time to adjust to (face it; there are adults who are sexually immature) and looking at the big picture, while some children may be wise beyond their years, is there really a point for a 13-year-old to have a child when he's probably going to live to be 80?
