I didn't want to do this. I really didn't. But the outright hypocrisy of the GOP with this stimulus bill has forced my hand. Allow this video to explain what I'm talking about:

Which I now use to reveal a time where the GOP didn't give a damn whether or not Congress read legislation:



Remember the Patriot Act? The bill nobody ever read? The bill that was laden with so many questionable things, that the repercussions are still being felt?

Anyway, now we know the GOP Ballad: Legislation presumably reacting to being attacked by terrorists must be rushed through without reading it. Legislation presumably reacting to the crumbling economy must be read carefully, line by line and page by page.

Or in short: "Whether we're in power or not, we know what's right."

When the Democrats start discussing the "nuclear option" in the Senate, then the GOP will maybe have a legitimate bitch. This is just sour grapes. They just need to shut the fuck up, and act like grown-ups.
