Money Well Spent: Newspapers Deserve a Slow Death

One more reason why: $40,000 for a Limbaugh story.

As Daniel Gross says, "Those whose owners saw papers as assets to be flipped, leveraged, and stripped are already bankrupt. " So right now, NYT doesn't have to worry. But if they keep these types of "stories" up they'll soon be blaming the bloggers along with everyone else.

If a newspaper pays someone to do a story about them, then it's not news. And why would you pay Limbaugh for what is basically advertising; he should have paid them for the story. It's decisions like this that further prove that America's Management Caste has reached the end of its usefullness. Too bad the rest of have to pay the price of the culling.
