The Raptor F-22 may be nearing retirement, but I have to disagree with something ThinkProgress said:
SCREEEEECH! Hold on a minute! Of course there was a reason for this. Did we suddenly forget the Battle at Mission City? Real jets were used, and one in particular displayed a fine piece of aerial martial arts:
Clearly, proponents of the F-22 want them around incase there's another giant robot attack. Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

The decision is welcome on two fronts. First, the F-22 contributes little to U.S. national security. It has not flown a single mission in the Iraq or Afghanistan campaigns.
