If Only Removal From Office Could Be This Easy in America.

Odd.

BANGKOK, Thailand - Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej violated the constitution by hosting television cooking shows and must resign from office, a court ruled on Tuesday.

The ruling — which means Samak's Cabinet must also resign — comes amid a deepening political crisis for Thailand.

Judge Chat Chonlaworn told the Constitutional Court that Samak had "violated Article 267 of the constitution" and that "his position as prime minister has ended."

Say what you want about Thailand; they obey their constitution.

Actually the cooking PM is an extension of the deposed Thaksin so in that sense it really took some time to oust him..... there is a catch though, he is not barred from being re-nominated by his party to the same position.

Really? Didn't catch that part. My first thought when I saw this "It can't be that easy to get rid of an official, even over there."

I have no problem with the guy being re-nominated. If anything, it would show whether or not the people of Thailand want him back.
