Why Juan Dixon Matters
With all do respect to my fellow Bullets/Wizards fans, there is a reason to be happy about Juan Dixon coming back to the Wizards: he's a winner.
Don't get me wrong; Roger Mason has an impressive career and is a solid player. But he doesn't have Dixon's intensity and (more importantly) competitiveness. That's one characteristic the other Wizards can't replicate (aside from, of course, Gilbert Arenas). It's a characteristic that can win as many games as a good shooting percentage.
Jamison is the Common-Sense Guy. Butler is the Tough Guy. Stevenson is (now) "the Villain/Bad Boy." Haywood is the Redemption Song Guy. The team still needs "The Fighter." Even from the bench, Dixon can be that guy.
Welcome Back, Juan.
